Soroa possesses one of the most exuberant vegetations of the whole island. One can appreciate trees that reach up to 40 mt (131 ft) like pine trees or eucalypts. It displays more than 40 fern species, including the exotic arborescent ferns. It constitutes a rich zone with abundant plant species, including the biggest variety of orchids of the island and one of the most important reserves of this rich species in the world.
Its flower collection includes the Mariposa (Cuban national flower) and among the trees we find the precious Weeping Willows, Silk Cotton Trees, Oaks, and Cedar species.
