  Fauna

Like the rest of the Santa Clara's littoral, the fauna of Elguea is mainly constituted of remarkable birds with beautiful plumage such as, seagulls and pelicans. Its marine fauna is of invaluable richness. At only a hundred meters from its coasts passes the Santa Lucia de Cuba coral barrier, the second largest in the world where, in its depths, inhabit a great variety of mollusks, cobos, seafood and many multicolor tropical fish.
